THE 1920 LAST OF THE MOHICANS - ORCHESTRA
(72:00) American Indian Wood Flute, Quartz Crystal Flute, Electric Guitar, Full Orchestra (Double Winds). Rental Fee: Full Score, Set of Parts, Digital Film. Copyright ©2003, Brent Michael Davids.
LAST OF THE MOHICANS was originally made in 1920, and features Barbara Bedford, Wallace Beery and a young Boris Karloff as an Indian. But in 2003, Davids, took on the daunting challenge of composing an all-new music soundtrack for this classic film. Davids has created a truly visionary score for full orchestra that features Joe Myers on Guitar, and the Composer himself on Indian flute and Crystal Flute. The magnificent feature of the score is that it also functions as a "concert" work for orchestra—complete with cricket and bird sounds—which are all performed while the film shows in the concert hall. Premiered by the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra (2006).
